If you are from the Nashville Area and know a thing or two about donuts, you’ll know the energizing feeling of passing a Krispy Kreme, and their “Now Hot” sign is on. Growing up, this was kind of a staple for me; donuts and milk before/after school or just because my mom wanted them. However, when I moved to Murfreesboro for college, I soon found out that there was not a Krispy Kreme anywhere close to me. Heartbroken right? Wrong.
I found my solution thanks to a friend of mine I met my freshman year at MTSU. She also was from the same part of Nashville as I and understood my need for fresh donuts. The solution? Donut Country.
This little hole-in-the-wall spot has two locations as it is open 24/7. Yes, you read that right: All-day, everyday donuts, you guys. Even at 2 am when you’re headed home from being in the library, or you are just up and want a donut!
Even for those that don’t do the whole donut thing, they also have a decent menu or sandwiches and breakfast food. They have won the Ruthies Award in “Best Place for Donuts” since 2008 too. Definitely worth the try.
Until next time,
Anastasia
