This film follows the storyline of Jake & Lainey, two people whose lives intertwine in college after he saves her from getting kicked out of his college dorm. Even though she was interested in someone else, they instantly click, and things get pretty hot and heavy from there. However, after that night, Jake never sees her again.
A few years go by, and both are living separate lives. Jake is dating around with a few women (talk about a rolling stone, huh?) & Lainey had confessed to her boyfriend that she had cheated on him (16 times, to be exact with the SAME guy she was interested in before she met Jake).
It’s not until Lainey goes to a “Love Addiction” that she runs into Jake again. Fate continues to tie them together, forcing them to acknowledge their feelings for each other.
If you’re looking for a slightly inappropriate romantic comedy about two friends that have changed into different people over the years, but risk relearning each other & end up teaching each other to love, give this one a try. Unlike other romantic comedies, it does not give off that cheesy feel; the storyline as a whole can touch viewers on a realistic & personal level.
