I had the pleasure of spending my time at the Marketplace East Nashville over the weekend. This place hit my radar at the suggestion of a friend, the owner of Lunar Roots, who is assisting me in getting exposure for my wire wrapped jewelry business. This indoor marketplace is an excellent way to get your way feet wet into putting your business - your craft let's say – out there to the public. The vendor fee for a lot of the events in Nashville leaves some anxious about breaking even in sales, especially for a new business. Currently, the cost of becoming a vendor does not violate the bank for this event, and I was extremely grateful for it. If you are not interested in selling your product, it is still a fun event to attend (it is free admission), you are supporting local businesses, and you may find something that you won't find anywhere else.
Open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm, be prepared to encounter a variety of vendors from art by Jerika Renee , to dessert items by T-Squared Sweet & Savory. If the idea of sweets doesn't catch your attention, be pleased to know that there will be a food truck or two. Steaming Goat and Red 615 Kitchen made an appearance this past weekend and did not disappoint. Once mother nature decides to grace us with some slightly warmer weather, the Marketplace East Nashville will begin hosting a food truck festival every Saturday, starting in March. Not a shopper or obsessed with food like I am? They also have a 2-hour art class that you can preregister for on their website.
Thanks to Londa from Sacred Stones and Oddities for showing me only a fraction of your collection, the owners of B.T. Leights for your dad jokes as well as your GREAT sauces & rubs that would put some southern grannies to shame, A Lil Touch of Crystal for my beautiful mug and coaster set, and to all of the other vendors that shared your business and time with me. I hope to see you all again!
Until the next adventure,
Anastasia Shelton
